New Homes
If you're building a new home or planning to, ask your architect or building contractor to include a Beam® Central Vacuum System or contact us directly. Beam Cape will assist with the design of the pipe-route for optimal suction power, the lay-out of the locations for the power unit/dirt collection canister, the vacuum inlets (where the hose is inserted), and the exhaust.
- Ground Floor: Piping & provision for inlet valves to be in the compacting and fitted before the plastic & wire mesh is put in place.
- Extensions of pipes to the first floor to be done as the walls are built up. Installation team will liaise with foreman on site.
- First Floor: Piping & provision for inlet valves will be in the concrete slab.
- Suction test to take place after pipe-run is completed and before final floor cover is completed.
- Fitting of inlet valves to be done after plastering & preferably after final coat of paint.
- Fitting of VacPan to be done simultaneously with fitting of kitchen cupboards. VacPan should be fitted on plinth of upboard, preferably underneath a drawer.
- Power unit ill be housed in the garage. A 15 amp switch socket outlet to be provided on left of power unit, 1,5m high from FFL. A dedicated circuit is required for the power unit with a 20 amp trip switch on distribution board.
- Commissioning of power unit and delivery of cleaning kit on owner’s instruction.
